The clients wanted to increase the size of their historic Oakwood home to keep pace with neighborhood changes. Listed on the Historic Register, it was critically important to maintain the look of the original house while increasing functionality. Meanwhile a backyard lot was virtually unused. The addition was designed as though it had always been a part of the original house while providing a spacious family room, closet suite, and master bathroom. A two car garage was built at the back of the lot. A magnificently terraced and landscaped back yard with privacy fence rounded out a very successful project.
