A modern design for a new home built for a retiring couple on land owned by the wife's family during her childhood. Nestled in bamboo plants almost suspended in space, this home is strikingly contemporary with a flair and rejuvenated spirit desired by its owners. 2SL provided a refreshing contemporary structure for them while working within constraints posed by nearby watersheds.
