The Texas-based parents of a professor at NC State wanted to move to Raleigh to be close to their son. At his parents' request, the son purchased a 1970s split level home. The program required separate living suites with a common area combined with a very open space. Total ADA compliance was also required including bathrooms, ramps and elevator. 2SL's design includes a contemporary makeover of the split level look with many innovative design details.
